After checking in, you’ll be asked to sign in with your BAGTAG account. Next, follow the in-app instructions to create a digital label for your flight.
Regardless of the method, you will be directed to the preceding declaration concerning the carriage of dangerous goods. You have to acknowledge and confirm this declaration for legal reasons. After the confirmation, you are guided to the process of tagging your bag.
Follow the in-app instructions to update your electronic bag tag. The app shows you the essential information that should be found on the BAGTAG display.
Please check and confirm that the display and the information match. If you notice any discrepancies, or if the transfer has not been successful, you can start a new transfer attempt.
As a BAGTAG user, you arrive at the airport fully prepared. You only have to drop off your luggage. BAGTAGs are accepted at self-service bag drop machines and at manned check-in counters as well.
BAGTAGs can be used on domestic China Southern Airlines flights departing from Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport and Beijing Daxing International Airport. China Southern Airlines and BAGTAG are working hard on making all destinations available to BAGTAG users in the short term.

To set up the BAGTAG for your journey, please use the China Southern Airlines app to check in for your flight as you would normally do. Within the check-in flow, you will be able to update your BAGTAG.
After checking in for your flight, there are two ways to update your BAGTAG from within the Lufthansa app.
