Passengers flying with Norwegian and Wideroe can now use both BAGTAG and BagID hardware on their flights. Both products are fully accepted within the airlines’ networks, which means passengers can choose the device that best matches their travel style.
Electronic Bag Tags are digital replacements for the traditional paper bag tag. Instead of printing labels at the airport, passengers can check in at home and send their baggage information to a reusable electronic device attached to their suitcase. The tag shows the same routing information as a paper label, is fully scannable in airport systems, and speeds up the entire baggage process.
EBTs give passengers more control and help airlines create a smoother and more efficient airport experience. Once checked in, passengers can go straight to bag drop, avoid printing stations and reduce queues at the airport.
